3 Days Bird Watching Queen Elizabeth National park

The 3 Days Birding Tour takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park has about 611 bird species. These include forest birds, savannah and water birds, also migrant birds and residents. The major activities include game viewing drive along the Kasenyi Trail, Nature walk, Boat trip along the Kazinga Channel for a wide variety of bird species such as Grey Capped Warbler, White’s and Abdim’s Storks, Amur Falcon, Ovampo Sparrowhawk, Wooly-necked and Saddle-billed Storks Vultures and Plovers and other bird species.

Day 1: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast at the Hotel, depart for Queen Elizabeth national park western Uganda, with a stop at the equator for photographs, lunch in Mbarara Town and proceed to arrive late afternoon. Take a walk to Lake katwe, watch the local methods of mining salt as you enjoy the clear view of Rwenzori Mountains of the moon and some game viewing and we drive back to Mweya Safari Lodge or Hippo Hill for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive-Launch cruise at Kazinga Channel

On this day when you are done with your early breakfast, leave the lodge with packed lunch and report to the park headquarters for briefing at 7:30am which includes the rules and guidelines for gorilla trekking. Thereafter in the same area is the starting point as you go on to trek mountain gorillas, you will be guided by an experienced and knowledgeable park ranger guide who will take you to see these gentle giants. How long it takes to track gorillas is determined by their location in a place so it can take 2 to 8 hours. You will have a great time with them and after return back to your lodge.

Refresh and later in the evening take a community walk to engage and see how people live around this area especially the Batwa which are an indigenous group of people. Have dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: Maramagambo Nature walk – Departure

Morning breakfast and set off to maramagambo forest for bird watching and caves exploration, later depart for Kampala with lots of game viewing en-route, lunch in Mbarara, arrive in Kampala by late evening. Dinner and overnight at you’re the Lodge, Kampala Forest Cottages

Day 4: Return to Kampala

Enjoy your breakfast and checkout from the lodge and drive to Kampala having lunch en-route. You will arrive in Kampala in the evening with great memories from Lake Bunyonyi and Bwindi Impenetrable.
